Course Description
Health economics is the systematic application of economic theory and empirical principles to issues related to health and healthcare. The course covers the production of health, demand for health capital, markets for healthcare and health insurance, and the role of government in addressing potential market failures. The course also covers empirical studies that support or refute competing economic hypotheses.
